After a rainout the previous Sunday, the JCSL by MDSC resumed Week 2 play on Sunday, May 11, with four thrilling and tightly contested games. Under ideal weather conditions, each matchup was decided by just one or two runs—arguably the most evenly matched slate in the league’s seven-year history.
The AMP Solutions fields were in top condition once again, thanks to the outstanding work of the K & D Gold Exchange Grounds Crew. And despite the absence of two regular members of the I Heart Remodeling Umpire Crew, their substitutes delivered a high-quality performance, maintaining the integrity and flow of the games.

Week 2 Game Recaps
Clothier 10, GB Homes 8
Clothier mounted a dramatic comeback to defeat GB Homes, 10–8. Trailing 8–2, Clothier scored three runs in the sixth and five more in the eighth, while shutting out GB Homes over the final four innings.
Yossi Muller delivered a standout performance with three hits, including a game-changing two-run triple in the bottom of the eighth that gave Clothier its first lead. Muller also impressed on the mound. Yehuda Pensak continued his hot streak with his second consecutive four-hit game from the leadoff spot, and Jeremy Lasson added three hits of his own. Defensively, Tali Strum shined at second base, highlighted by an unassisted double play. With the win, Clothier remains undefeated at 2–0 and sits alone atop the standings.
Donny Ankri Architects 6, YL Waitering 5
Donny Ankri Architects (DAA) secured their first win of the season in a tightly contested battle against a strong YL Waitering squad. After falling behind 4–0 in the third inning, DAA responded with a six-run rally in the fourth. From there, the team leaned on solid defense to protect the narrow lead and ultimately sealed a 6–5 victory on a picture-perfect day for softball.
Orshan Legal Group 12, Lazar Real Estate 11
Orshan Legal Group LLC (OLG) entered Week 2 with an 0-1 record, making its game against Lazar Real Estate a virtual must win.
Things did not start well for OLG, going down 4-0 in the top of the 1st inning, with no response from the top of its lineup. LF Yoseph Orshan made a nice sliding catch in foul territory, frustrating hitter Baruch Glazer.
OLG managed to plate 2 in the 2nd inning on a 2 out 2 RBI double by utility fielder Shua Soskil, cutting the Lazar lead in half.
OLG then scored 4 in the 3rd on timely hitting from the top of its lineup, including hits from 3B Hillel Stutman who had 4 hits on the day, Yoseph Orshan, SS Zelig Glazer, and LCF Avrami Freund. The score was tied 6-6 at the end of 3.
Star P Mark Stutman shut down Lazar on 3 pitches in the 4th and OLG snatched the lead with a 3-run rally from the bottom of its lineup, including RF Tzvi Schechtman, 1B Ben Blackman, Soskil, and utility fielder Aharon Shnur, who all had multiple hits in the game.
In the 6th, Lazar tied the game at 9, but LCF Freund made a sliding catch to end the rally. OLG responded with 2 clutch runs, with 2B Shlomo Rosenfeld and RCF Zevi Green getting the rally started.
P Stutman shut down Lazar in the 7th and 8th, striking out 3 batters, maintaining OLG’s 2-run lead.
In the bottom of the 8th, with the bases loaded, Orshan delivered an insurance run on an RBI groundout. Lazar managed 2 runs in the 9th, but P Stutman shut down the heart of the Lazar lineup to earn the much-needed win by the final score of 12-11.
Web Interactive Technologies 12, The Friendship Circle 10
After a tough Week 1 loss, Web Interactive Technologies (WIT) bounced back with a gritty 12–10 win over The Friendship Circle. WIT jumped out to an early lead with aggressive hitting and maintained their advantage into the eighth inning. However, a few late-inning errors allowed The Friendship Circle to rally and tie the game at 10 apiece.
In the top of the ninth, Ken Major came through with a crucial two-out hit, setting the stage for substitute slugger Matt Luterman, who launched a clutch two-run homer. WIT held firm in the bottom of the ninth, locking down the win and showcasing resilience, determination, and timely execution.
