BJH: We’re delighted to have you here. Tzvi, could you share with us your journey into the restaurant and food industry, and what inspired you to establish your business in Baltimore?
Tzvi Landau: It’s a pleasure to be here, thank you. My journey into the culinary world began in childhood. Growing up, I was surrounded by family members who were deeply involved in the restaurant business in New York, so the food industry has been a part of my life from a young age. I initially moved to Baltimore to open Dougies Restaurant, marking the start of my ventures here.
BJH: That’s fascinating! What specific services are you currently offering?
Tzvi Landau: Currently our division of Yaffa Catering specializes in Shabbos catering services. Our offerings include a wide range of Kiddush and Shabbos meal options, meticulously designed presented beautifully, and served by a professional team of waiters for those celebrating a simcha on Shabbos.
BJH: Catering is such a dynamic and creative field. What aspects of it do you find most enjoyable?
There’s so much about catering that I enjoy. From the fast-paced kitchen environment to working closely with clients to bring the vision of their Simcha to life, as well as the creativity involved in developing new menu items, displays, and collaborating with new vendors and venues. Each aspect keeps me engaged and makes my work immensely enjoyable.
BJH: That sounds wonderful. Could you elaborate on what makes your Shabbos catering packages unique?
Tzvi Landau: Absolutely. We pride ourselves on offering an extensive variety of Kiddush and Shabbos meal options. Our high-quality, one-stop-shop approach ensures that families can fully enjoy their Simchas as honored guests. Our goal is to ensure that every event is a beautiful, seamless, enjoyable experience.
